Despite losing two matches in a row in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Khulna Titans all-rounder refused to admit that they are struggling to get their rhythm in the tournament.

Titans firstly lost by eight runs in a closely-contested game against Rajshahi Kings in their tournament opener and then were crushed by 105 runs at the hands of Dhaka Dynamites on Tuesday, which was the tournament’s second biggest defeat margin.

“I don’t think we are struggling,” Wiese said on Tuesday.

“We have got quite a good players and we are coming here it’s always takes a few time to balance the side to get the best combination out. Our coaches are trying really hard and one or two players are just to join us that will make impact towards the late in the tournament. But the combination wise I think that it just spot on and now it’s up to the players to go and put up a big performance in the field.”

He pointed out their bowling failure, saying that they gave 20/30 runs extra what made the difference at the end.

“It’s always difficult to chase out there. I think they probably get 20-30 runs more in the wicket. It was not the easiest wicket to start and I think once you get used to the pace it gets easier. They did get some couple too many and chasing 190 or like that in that wicket you need somebody to top four five to put up big scores and bat till the 15th 16th over to give guys to chances in to go for big shots and get a bit of momentum towards the end. Keep losing wickets all through the innings is not the best way to chase 190 runs,” he believed.

“I think today was a disappointment of all aspects. When we started to bowl we didn’t execute our plans and the fielding was so as we missed a couple of chances as well. Batting was always tough to chase down 190 and we needed to get a good start and maintain that whole time. Our back was against the wall from the start. There was a good performance in the first match as there were lot of positives but today was one of the bad days that you need to put behind. We will be playing in tomorrow night and want to use the opportunity.”
