Warner gets a reality check

Sylhet Sixers skipper David Warner got a reality check in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League as he was astonished with the training facilities at the BUET ground on Saturday.
Sixers were slated to complete their training session at the BUET academy to everyone’s pleasant surprise they returned to the BCB academy premises as they found the ground not good enough to complete the training session.
Cricfrenzy learnt through team sources that Warner was extremely annoyed with the proceedings and his body language after arriving at the SBNS only reflected that his anger did not diminish one bit.
‘’It was not possible for us to do any practice there at BUET and so we returned back,’’ said a member of Sixers squad on request of not to be named.
‘’If our management had gone their than certainly we wont have gone there,’’ he added.
Lack of practice ground had always been a major issue for the franchises in the BPL as none of them had so far developed any practice ground for their exclusive use.
‘’We have to use the facilities in Mirpur as that is a quiet convenient for us,’’ said Victorians coach Mohammad Salahuddin.
Titans skipper Mahmudullah believes that it will not take long to get everything into places as far as practice facilities are concerned for respective franchises.
‘’Look all the franchises spent a lot of money to bring player in their squad but when it comes to arranging practice facilities we are still not been able to get us into an ideal state,’’ Mahmudullah told reporters while practicing at the ULAB ground.
‘’I am sure soon this will be sorted out,’’ he added.
