It is hard to make the transition- Mashrafee

Defending champion Rangpur Riders skipper Mashrafee bin Mortaza said on Friday that he is concentrating totally on cricket despite finding it hard to make the transition from his political activities.
Mashrafee became the first ever active international cricketer to join parliament when he was elected from Narail-2 in the eleventh national election on Sunday.
Mashrafee has secured the Narail-2 seat in Bangladesh's national elections, winning over 96% of the votes in his constituency.
Mashrafe had started campaigning on December 22, later than most candidates during this election, as he was nursing a hamstring injury after the Bangladesh-West Indies ODI series ended on December 14.
The transition part is quite hard,’’ Mashrafee told reporters ahead of the opening game against Chittagong Vikings at academy premises on Sunday.
‘’It's happening very quickly and within short period of time but I'm managing and trying hard,’’ he said
The way the transition period is going on it is hard to take big steps but you can consider that I'm fully into cricket now,’’ he said.
So,it will be better for me afterwards but maybe I will need some more time to adjust but I hope to do so probably as the tournaments starts rolling,’’ he said.
Mashrafee said that he is yet to gain total fitness while he admitted that it will take some time to adjust with the tempo of T20 cricket as he is playing only in one format.
‘’The injury thing that you have mentioned still does exists and I am trying to absorb and play with it but this is not in my hand,’’ said Mashrafee.
‘’About the bowling thing you have mentioned, I have tried this format only in the last tournament and playing in now. So an adjustment should be made out here as well,’’ he said
‘’Probably, it needs some time but I am trying hard to come back as soon as possible and try to assist the team,’’ he added.
