Fast bowler Rubel Hossain aims at improving his T20 performance as he wants his captain Shakib Al Hasan’s attention towards him.

Rubel is the part of star-studded Dhaka Dynamites squad, leading by Shakib who is also the T20 captain of Bangladesh. Since the pacer is not regular in Bangladesh’s T20 set up, he takes this BPL as the challenge to win the heart of his captain.

“Shakib bhai is the captain of our T20 team so if I play good cricket, he obviously will notice it,” Rubel said yesterday during Dhaka Dynamites practice session at the Academy ground of Mirpur.

“Definitely I want to give my 100 percent here. Wherever I play, I always try to give my best indeed. It’s my first stint with Dhaka. So I am really excited to contribute well in team’s victory.”

The Bangladesh fast bowler at the same time played down the pressure of performing in a side whose reserve bench is so strong. There is enough possibility that some big stars straightway could not make it in the first XI because of team combination. So a bad performance could lead to axe from the combination at any time.

“This is not pressure  indeed as I am used to see the big stars playing in Dhaka team. I will try my best from my position and honestly speaking I am not feeling any pressure,” he informed.

Rubel said his big strength is his experience as he has been playing cricket for last 10 years and in his career he faced big stars like AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli and others.

“It’s always challenging but I am ready to take the challenge. I have been playing cricket for the last 10 years. I have faced batsman like AB de Villiers and others. So I think there is nothing to fear. In cricket I know I have to face big batsman always. But when I will face them, my target is to take their wickets. That’s it,” he opined.

He believed that Dhaka Dynamites have all the ingredients to be the champion in this edition.

“It’s my first time in Dhaka but what I have seen that they always form a team to be champion. This year it is no exception. I am ready excited and I am really keen to give my best for the team.”
