He was often blamed to progress slowly while batting but Anamul Haque Bijoy didn’t come up with any sensational reply to counter the allegation. Rather he took it easily and said he tried to keep his strike rate over 100 in this BPL.
He also said that, he is trying to update his game and added some new weapons to hone his game.

“I will try to play attacking cricket and keep my strike rate over 100. I am trying to update myself and bring up some new things in my game,” Bijoy said.
Bijoy began his career as a promising star and struck four ODI centuries before he played 20 matches, something which is a record by a Bangladeshi batsman.
But his career didn’t go as well as it was expected. Moreover there was blame that he ruined the rhythm of the game by playing so slowly. His sluggishness was touted as the reason of Bangladesh’s mediocre performance in 2013-14 in which they lost several matches despite coming agonizingly close.
Sometimes his integrity towards the team was also questioned something which Bijoy protested vehemently.
“It’s true that I will try to give my best. No matter I can do well or not but when I have got the opportunity I wanted to give my 100 percent and indeed I did. And now also my aim is to whatever the needs of the team, be it 10, be it 10 or half-century, I will be there to give my all.”
