Bangladesh suspended all-rounder Sabbir Rahman said on Tuesday that he is eyeing to make a comeback in the national fold by putting up an impressive show in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board on September 1 handed Sabbir a six-month ban from international cricket for his repeated off-field issues but as there is no restriction of him from performing in the domestic tournament, he is preparing for it with all his focus.

Sabbir, who was hardly seen in the SBNS premises in the recent past, faced wide range of media’s came for the first time since being handed with the suspension while he came to the academy premises he joined the first practice session of Sylhet Sixers.
‘’I think the national team is open for everyone. BPL is a big stage for me and probably a very big tournament of my life. I will try to play my natural game and at the moment I am thinking about BPL rather than the World Cup as it is still a long way,’’ Sabbir told reporters during the practice session.
‘’If I can perform extraordinarily in BPL then there can me a chance for me to make a return and I am looking forward to it. First let me do well in BPL,’’ he said.
Since his departure from the national set-up several cricketers were tried to fill his slot mostly with Mohammad Mithun looking to be a worthy replacement.
