We’ll stick to fast bowling to win the game: Paul

Despite their pacers’ inconsistent performance, West Indies decided to keep faith on them in the series-deciding third T20 match on Saturday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
With six wickets in his kitty, only fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell showed some consistency while the likes of Oshane Thomas, Keemo Paul are yet to justify their name well.

While the express pace of the West Indies pacers’ is their strong link, it turned out to be their weakest link in a slow pitches in Mirpur stadium. Their strategy to demolish Bangladesh with a barrage of shorts balls worked well in Sylhet which was not so slow but in Mirpur their short balls strategy failed to pay off.
West Indies fast bowler Keemo Paul had no reservation to admit that the Mirpur wicket was completely different to Sylhet wicket but insisted that they would play to their strength, which is their pace.
“I won’t say that,” Paul said ahead of the third match when asked about the team combination for the final game. “But our main strength is fast bowling department. And definitely we will stick to that continue for win.”
But he made it clear that even though they would stick to their strength, they would alter their plan in a bid to avoid the tour sweep.
“It’s totally two different wickets. So we can’t have the same plan for each game. So we have sought that out and definitely we will come with a better plan to win the last game.”
