Shakib Al Hasan asked the presenter to ask batsmen about their downfall after Bangladesh were thrashed by eight wickets at the hands of West Indies in the first T20 match. His this sort of comment sparked a lot of criticism in the cricket fraternity and social media, something which infuriated Shakib also.
According to the captain, the comment is shown as negative while there was nothing negativity in it. He said it was just fun and the full part of the comment was not written or shown in the media.

As he was asked whether there was any message for the batsmen ahead of the second game or after his remark during the presentation, he trashed it.
“There was no message, even we didn’t talk about that (previous match),” he said.
“What happened was that I didn’t blame any batsman particularly. I told him, it’s not negative, it was just fun out there. But you people won’t write anything fully. Just the negative news gets the priority because public likes negative news and views. I also like it. Because I think it inspires me to do well.”
