Bangladesh head coach Steve Rhodes believes that they can whitewash West Indies in the upcoming three-match T20I series, starting on Monday (December 17).
Bangladesh will definitely start the series on a better note confidence-wise, as they have beaten the visitors in the Test and the ODIs series.
Bangladesh inflicted a Test whitewash on West Indies for the first time since beating Zimbabwe 3-0 in 2014. However, they are yet to earn whitewash in a three-T20I series against any Test-playing nation.

“[Another whitewash in the T20Is is] definitely possible,” Rhodes told reporters ahead of the series opener at the Sylhet International Stadium on Sunday.
“We know that we would love to beat the West Indies in the series. But these guys have had a bit of a beating in India and also in the two series against us, so they would not like to go back to the Caribbean without a series. So it will be very tough, all I can say is to the cricket lovers in Bangladesh is that we will give it our best shot,” he said.
Rhodes added that they are taking inspiration from the last series win against the opponents as well as their good run against them in the recent days.
“I am not really sure [whether we are the favorites or not],” said Rhodes. “We played well in the one-dayers and we should take a lot of confidence from that. We played well in the Test series, and that was fantastic. We couldn't ask for more. But we are asking for more. We want the players to beat the West Indies in T20.
“They're ranked above us. They are world champions. We surprised them in Florida and surprised ourselves as well. But the plan is to go out there and win the series. We desperately want to do it and it's going to be a lot tougher than the other two series because this is the format West Indies excel at.
“We will give it our best shot and hopefully we will be smiling at the end of it. Whatever happens we are pleased with the way our progress is going at the moment.”
