West Indian spin bowling consultant Mushtaq Ahmed said on Saturday that added that he believe the absence of inspirational skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza will give them an edge in the upcoming three-match Twenty20 series.
Mashrafee, who had retired from the T20 internationals during their Sri Lanka tour in 2017, is regarded as one of the shrewdest cricketing brain available in the present day.

The host will certainly not have his brain in the field, as Tigers will be led by Shakib al Hasan in the ODI skipper announced retirement from T20 after the tour of Sri Lanka in 2017.
‘’It does, because leaders does make a huge difference. Because a good leader holds the team well. When you have a good leader and he is holding a team well, it’s always an advantage,’’ said Mushtaq.
‘‘But we don’t see people, we don’t see anything else. We have to play our way and remember our strength. And hopefully if we can do that and execute our skills well, we can win against any team,’’ he added.
Mushtaq added that he is looking forward to see how he can develop the players in the near future through his experience.
‘’Overall cricket experience, especially in Asia,’ Especially because I’ve done a lot of coaching in England and in English conditions And also building a team; this is a new process for West Indian cricket and I think they are bringing a lot of young people into it. Obviously I am so lucky and so glad to participate in my knowledge with them. They are good learner and hopefully I can pass my good experience and good knowledge of the game to them. And inshAllah they can express themselves,’’ said the former Pakistan leg spinner.
