Shai Hope

Two things – a century from Shai Hope and another below-200 total – were repeated from the West Indies team in the third and final ODI against Bangladesh. The Tigers now have to chase down a 199-run target to seal the match and the series, at Sylhet.
The hosts brought up Mohammad Mithun and Mohammad Saifuddin, dropping Imrul Kayes and Rubel Hossain in the clash what could potentially be captain Mashrafe Mortaza’s last home match. With this game, he has also set a new record – to have led Bangladesh in the most number of ODIs (70).
Bangladesh won the first match by five wickets before West Indies leveled the series with four-wicket victory.
Eying to win its first ever bilateral series since its victory against Bangladesh in 2014, the Caribbean side made just one change with all-rounder Fabian Allen, replacing fast bowler Oshane Thomas.

Hope played an unbeaten innings of 108 runs in the third match while the rest of the batting lineup capitulated to Bangladesh’s bowling attack, as only three other batsmen could enter double-figure scores, with none exceeding the 20-run mark.
Mehidy Hasan was the pick of the bowlers, bagging four wickets. He earned the team a breakthrough in the fourth over and then allowed none of the Windies middle-order batters to stand firm and provide support to Hope, when the centurion looked invincible against the bowlers.
Shakib Al Hasan and Mashrafe also took two scalps each and Saifuddin got one wicket.
This Sylhet International Cricket Stadium is hosting its inaugural ODI. Bangladesh have lost their first Test and first T20I at this venue and will be determined to turn things around in their favor this time.
