Bangladesh spin-bowling coach Sunil Joshi said on Monday that they are eyeing to seal the series against Windies but insisted that their real challenge will begin abroad.

Bangladesh will be eyeing to seal the three-ODI series after winning the opening game by five wickets, which could be their third successive ODI series win in 2018.

But the Tigers are expecting to face a tough challenge heading towards 2019, as they will take on New Zealand followed by a tri-nation series in Ireland and the ICC World Cup in England.

“I think we need to win. Winning is the most important. If we win tomorrow, everything is settled. Whether it is batting, bowling, or fielding, when we win, we focus on all three of them.

“I think conditions are always tough when you go away from home, especially for the spinners. You need to adapt to the conditions, you need to change your mindset; your mindset changes with every format of the game. When you play red-ball your mindset is different, when you play white-ball cricket your mindset is different,” Joshi told reporters ahead of the second ODI against Windies.

‘’See, we are very strong in white-ball cricket. The ODI side is definitely better than the T20 side I would say.

“See, every player in this team has got the experience of success in international cricket. That makes a bigger role for the players,” he said.

Joshi added that their challenge lies abroad.

“Our challenges haven’t started. I am enjoying with the spinners and they are doing really well. We played with Nayeem, and Nayeem has done well in Test cricket. Nayeem has done very well for the emerging team in Pakistan and he got wickets as well yesterday. So it is good for us to have more spinners,” said Joshi.

“I will take you out of the box for a minute. Back in those days, West Indies played with five fast bowlers, Australia played five fast bowlers. It’s the same way when the trend is changing you need to go with the trend and your conditions,” he concluded
