Bangladesh spin-bowling coach Sunil Joshi said the blend of youth and experience as well as the players’ better understanding of international cricket drove the side to script a successful chapter in their history.
The country’s achievement at the international levels in the last three years was noteworthy as they had already established them as the big boys in white-ball cricket while in the Test format, they have been consistently dominating other big guns in their own den.

Joshi has been with Bangladesh for quite some time now and was pleased to see the team flourishing as a unit regardless of the format.
“This team is growing. You have seen last two years what we have achieved as a team in white ball cricket and in Test cricket as well,” Joshi said on Monday.
“We have won series in West Indies, beaten them in white-ball. In white ball cricket, we have gone ahead and lost to India in the last ball... three tournaments we have lost in the last ball. So, if we look at the performance overall of this team in last two years, the graph is going up.”
According to Joshi, what Bangladesh need to do now is to keep up the consistency.
“So we need to be consistent. Everyone is realizing what it takes to perform in international cricket. So, everyone is working. We have seen the successful consistency from Mushfiq, Shakib, Mahmudullah, and Tamim. The team is combined of youth and experience.”
