Bangladesh will be looking to seal the three-match ODI series straight away as they take on Windies in the second game of the rubber at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on November 11.

The Tigers are leading in the series with a comprehensive five-wicket win over the visitors in the opening game and a similar feat would help them earn their third successive ODI series win in 2018.

Prior to this ODI series, Bangladesh have beaten Windies in their own den and that was followed by another home-series win against Zimbabwe.

White-ball cricket had always been an area of strength for Bangladesh but they are not taking anything for granted against the opposition, who would be eager to turn their table after being cleanly swept away in the two-match Test series and losing in the opening one-dayer.

“We have the same planning for every match and that is to play 100 per cent cricket so that we can make sure to win the match. After winning, a lot of things get ignored - like we missed a couple of catches or we could have won the match losing only three wickets as there was no pressure of scoring - but these are all part of the game,” Mashrafe told reporters ahead of the second game.

If tradition is taken into consideration SBNS surface is likely stay as a two-paced wicket that would help their batsmen more than the opponents’, as they are well aware of the nature and know how to stay scrappy, which would help them to convert a start. West Indies, however, remained quite the opposite in this regard as they want to have a go from the very beginning.

Despite Mashrafe's insistence on playing three seamers and wanting grass on the track, it is unlikely to be the case as everyone is well aware that it comes down to the willingness of the management and they are also taking the dew factor into consideration.

Bangladesh have made their home a fortress and the hosts are on a merciless winning momentum, rolling over practically every opposition that dares to set foot.

But the Windies are known to thrive on these moments of being written off to dish out a surprise and they would be keen to come up with such an act on Tuesday at SBNS.

West Indies’ Roston Chase said that they are not ready to give up so easily.

“No way (laughs). No way. I think we go back to the drawing board, we look at our plans and we will look at where we fell down in this match and improve in that,” said Chase.

“I will never say that the series is over – we are going to come back strong. We know the guys will be up for the challenge, so we are looking forward to the next game,” he added.
