North Zone-South Zone match ended in tame draw

The third round clash between BCB North Zone and defending champions Prime Bank South Zone ended in a stalemate at Chittagong on Saturday (December 8).
Batting first, South Zone made 329 runs, while Sunzamul Islam took a fifer for North Zone. The teams weren’t done with first innings even on third day, as the game was heading towards a draw.
Resuming an overnight score of 382/7, North Zone were all-out for 394 runs in their first innings as Abdur Razzak took his tally of wickets to six, by taking the remaining wickets of the opponents on the final day.

In reply, South Zone lost four wickets before they could take a lead second innings. Anamul Haque, who made 66 runs, was the fifth batsman to leave the crease, before Al-Amin (75) and Mahedi Hasan (60) finally restored the innings, sharing an unbeaten 130-run stand for the sixth-wicket stand to force both the teams agree for an early draw.
South Zone lost to Walton Central Zone in the first round, before registering two draws. North Zone, on the other hand, saw all three of their games end in a draw.
South Zone will again face Central Zone in the fourth round, starting on December 11. North Zone will take on Islami Bank East Zone in the same round.
