Shakib Al Hasan praises Afghanistan’s overall brilliance

After the conclusion of the first T20I match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan, Shakib Al Hasan praised the Afghans for their all-round brilliance. Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by 45 runs in a match where the former completely dominated the latter.
Indeed, Rashid Khan, who was adjudged as the man of the match, bowled fantastically to take three wickets and put Bangladesh batsmen – who were perhaps mentally knackered even before facing him – in all sorts of trouble.
Meanwhile, captain Shakib Al Hasan thinks that while the bowlers did well, leaky death overs cost them the game. He also added Afghanistan outplayed the Tigers in all departments and concluded by praising their spinners.

“Generally we bowled well, except for the last four overs which cost us the match. Giving away those many runs was not ideal. We have lot to do. Need to sit down and look at the areas which we need to improve.
“They’re a good side, and they outplayed us in all three departments. Overall we have so many areas which we need to look at. When you’re chasing 170-odd runs, you need to bat well. Credit to them the way they bowled. They’ve got some quality spinners.”
The next match is on the 5th of June while the final match of the series will take place on the 7th.
