England complete white-ball dominance

Australia’s woes in white-ball cricket continued as England once again got the better of them in a sole T20I game. Winning the toss, Australia decided to bowl first against an English team that bat so deep that even Adele’s lyrics seem shallow compared to it.
And they had to pay for it.
The English batters came with all guns blazing, scoring 95 in 8.5 overs before the wicket of Jos Buttler fell. The wicketkeeper-batsman, who single-handedly won England their last ODI game against Australia with an astute century, was on fire again as he smashed 61 from 30 balls to give his team a blistering start.
Jason Roy fell next after making 44 from 26 balls and was followed by captain Eoin Morgan, who could only conjure 15 from 8 balls. Alex Hales, batting at four, was brilliant as his 24-ball 49 gave England the boost they needed in the middle overs.
Joe Root’s 24-ball 35 and Bairstow’s 8-ball 14 helped England reach 221 runs from their allotted 20 overs.
Mitchel Swepson was the most successful bowler for Australia as he took two wickets from his four overs and gave away 37 runs. Billy Stanlake and Marcus Stoinis took a wicket each as well.

In response, the Aussies started well as captain Aaron Finch, who opened the innings, smashed 84 from just 41 balls. He, however, got no support from the rest of his batters as only Ashton Agar and Andrew Tye could get scores of 20 or more runs apart from Finch.
In the end, Australia were bundled up for 193 runs in 19.4 overs as they couldn’t face the wrath of Adil Rashid, who took three wickets from his four overs and gave away only 27 runs.
Chris Jordan also took three wickets in his four overs but gave away 42 runs. Plunkett took two wickets while David Willey and Moeen Ali finished with a wicket each.
