Aakash Chopra wants Mustafizur to play

With a do-or-die encounter on the cards, former India Test opener Aakash Chopra has called for Mumbai Indians to play a bowler in place of JP Duminy or Ben Cutting – be it either Adam Milne or Mustafizur Rahman.
The Bangladesh star has been left out of the playing XI for quite a while now, with his last game being against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 24. Adam Milne was brought in as a replacement for Pat Cummins but hasn’t been used as of yet.
Meanwhile, Aakash Chopra believes that Mumbai Indians are not making the full use of their playing XI given that Duminy is being underused as a batsman and Cutting hasn’t been given much of the ball.
"Mumbai Indian's problem is that they are playing with 10 men. Why 10 men? They are not using JP Duminy the batsman [by making him bat late] and they are not using Ben Cutting the bowler.

“So, they need to play a bowler. Whoever that bowler is, at least play that bowler - whether it is Mustafizur or Adam Milne, [just] play a proper bowler that will give Mumbai another bowling option because their batting isn't being used to full anyway."
On the other hand, former Kiwi star Simon Doull stated the reason for JP Duminy’s presence in the team and also added that while Mumbai Indians could use Mustafizur in the next game, the inclusion of JP Duminy and Ben Cutting has lifted the spirit of the team to such an extent that Mumbai might not drop either of them.
"JP Duminy is an insurance policy for them. He is not going to bat if they get off to a great start. Duminy will just keep sliding down. [At] 20 runs for 2 wickets, he comes out and he would do a Rohit Sharma in that situation. That is what he is there for - as an insurance policy. They could play Dhananjaya [in place of Duminy] but it doesn't turn at Mumbai [Wankhede]," he told Cricbuzz.
“They could play Mustafizur if they want an extra bowling option but they are not bothered about that. Since they have got Duminy and Cutting into the side - they are just great blokes [and] team-men - they have just lifted the spirit of the team without actually doing too much.”
Mumbai Indians will take on Kings XI Punjab later today as both teams need a win to ensure their chances of finishing in the top four and qualify for the playoffs.
