Lance Klusener, the former South African all rounder and the coach of Rajshahi Kings, sounded confident about his side's chances and observed that they have more than enough players with knowledge of local conditions.
Kings will take on star studded Dhaka Dynamites in the second game at the Bangladesh Premier League’s opening day at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Saturday.
"I think Bangladeshi players are coming from playing a lot of cricket and that's good. There are couples of players from England who have not played for a while. But the make-up of our side is players from sub-continent. We have very few from outside (the subcontinent), so hopefully that will be a good step because we think that they have better knowledge to play in these conditions,’’ Klusener told reporters ahead of their opening game.

"I am not trying to put too much attention to the other teams. I think our focus will be on ourselves (about) what we can do. Obviously, there are some really good teams out there and there is no easy game. But our focus will be on ourselves and what we can do to try and win games," he said.
‘’But I am really looking forward to the challenges something that I wanted to do for a long time. So hopefully we can take the opportunity,’’ he said.
Klusener said that they do have a decent bowling attack to give their opponent a run for their money.
‘’We have got a good bowling attack. It’s just about finding the balance and we have lots of variety so that’s something is advantage for us. At the same time, we have some wonderful batters and we will try to look at some decent scores to defeat,’’ said Klusener adding that he is confident that Mehedy Hasan will be good enough to hold his nerves as the skipper of his side.
‘’I think in his own right, he is a fantastic player. He is only very young as you mentioned. But he has been doing it for a while and this is a step up for him. We got some experienced players around him that will help him,’’ the South African observed
‘’So we are looking to give him the platform to make a name for himself as a captain. And who knows going forward he might be somebody who Bangladesh might look at for future,’’ he added,
