Desperate World XI facing Confident Pakistan

International cricket has finally returned to Pakistan with the three-match T-20I series between the home team and World XI. Pakistan led by Sarfraz Ahmed, defeated World XI by 20 runs in the first match on Tuesday.

After an impressive show in the opening T-20I, the hosts are now eyeing to clinch the three-match series by winning today’s match. On the other hand, World XI will be desperate to win today’s match to level the series. The second match of the series is being staged today at the same venue, Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Both sides displayed their batting prowess in the opening game however the World XI especially lacked bite in their bowling. The World XI are expected to field Samuel Badree in the eleven today in a bid to restrict the Pakistani batsmen.

The hosts on the other hand are likely to play an unchanged side while a large crowd is expected to watch the game as top-class international cricket makes its presence well and truly felt at the headquarters of Pakistan cricket.
