Seamers may get advantage from Dambulla’s wicket

After winning the 100th test match against The Lankan Lions some days back, The Bangladesh Tigers are all set to start their ODI mission now.

The first match of the three match ODI series against the host is scheduled to be played on 25th March at Dambulla Rangiri stadium.

So far 48 ODIs and 4 T20Is matches have been played in Dambulla. According to the statistics it has been seen that the wicket of this ground is quite helpful for the pacers.

However, in the top of the highest wicket taker list, there is no seamer! With 42 wickets, one of the greatest spinners of all time Muttiah Muralitharan is in the top.

Meanwhile, Lankan pacer Farveez Maharoof is listed second with 23 wickets. In the third, fourth and fifth position Lasith Malinga (21), Praveen Kumar (18), Ashish Nehra (18) and Anjelo Mathews (16) are listed respectively.

So, after analyzing the wicket condition it can be said that, Bangladesh may play with four seamers against The Lankans.

In that case, along with the skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and young sensation Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and Subhasish Roy may get chance.
