His decision was correct and he got the proof early. Imrul Kayes was gone early in the innings and Bangladesh lost their first wicket early. Then, Mominul came to bat with Tamim Iqbal.
After 10.4 overs of the match, Huge rain started to fall and then the weather condition became worst. Moreover, wind with such pace is blowing. The match was paused for the unwelcoming weather.
Few hours of the match were cut for the rain and now players are back in the field as Rain is gone. Tamim started to play aggressively and he scored his half century quickly. But, he couldn’t survive more. Boult took the wicket of him while Tamim was on 56 runs.
After Tamim’s dismissal, Mominul Haque started to play freely with excellent shots all around the grounds. He tried to built a partnership with Mahmudullah and then Rain hit the mtach again. The match is now stopped due to rain while little master is only 2 runs away from his half century.
Rain Stopped and groundsmen are working very hard to fix everything. The match will be started again shortly.
Bangladesh need to work very hard for showing some magic as they have not been able to show some magics till now. Tigers were swept 3-0 in both ODIs and T20Is. This will be the 12th time the teams meet in the five-day game – a format where Bangladesh has never won against New Zealand. Moreover, this will also be the Asian side’s first overseas Test since September 2014.
Bangladesh selected a couple of new caps for this match. Fast bowler, Taskin Ahmed and his seam-bowling team-mate Subashis Roy joined Kamrul Islam Rabbi, who began his Test career last October, in the playing XI.
The fourth prong of this inexperienced attack was also inexperienced, although Mehedi Hasan has already had grand success at this level with his offspin, bowling Bangladesh to their first Test victory over England a few months ago. Bangladesh were playing their first Test away from home in over two years.
