Bangladesh XI played against Sydney Sixers in a warm-up game where Captain of Bangladesh XI won the toss and elected to bowl first. Sydney Sixers managed to score 169 for the loss of 9 wickets after 20 overs and Bangladesh XI won the match by 7 wickets.
After the first innings of the match, Rain occurred heavily and the match was paused for one hour. Then, the target reduced for Bangladesh XI. Now, Bangladesh XI need 84 runs from 8 overs.
Imrul and Soumya had a flying start while chasing but both of them got out with Sabbir Rahman in a quick interval. But the, two experienced batsmen of Bangladesh team, Mushfiq and Mahmudullah came to bat and batted till the last. At the end, due to their heroic, Bangladesh won the match by 7 wickets.
Earlier, Due to Rain, the match stopped for a while. But then the match started and Bangladesh got their first breakthrough. Hughes got out by LBW in the 7th over. Then Taijul came to bowl and took the wicket of Brad Haddin.
Then Taskin Ahmed took the wicket of Dangerous Jason Roy. Roy scored 42 before getting out. After the departure of Jason Ror, Taskin strike again and took the wicket of Billings in the same over.
After the fall of Billings, Bangladesh couldn’t stop taking the wickets. Captain of Sydney Sixers, Johan Botha got out from a spectacular juggling effort on the boundary rope. And Sydney Sixers became 115/5.
After that, Sixers were targeting for a solid partnership in the middle. Then, Bangladeshi bowlers strike again. After that, Silk started to hit balls around the wicket. But, in the last few overs Bangladeshi bowlers came back strongly.
Three wickets were fallen in the last over. At the end, after 20 overs, Sydney Sixers managed to score 169 for the loss of 9 wickets against Bangladesh XI.
Bangladesh cricket team are currently in Australia for a 10 day long conditioning camp where they will also feature in two warm up games against Big Bash teams, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunders. One match is going on against the Sydney Sixers.
The conditioning camp is happening to get prepared for the upcoming New Zealand tour which will be started from 24th December.
