Srilanka has won the test series against Zimbabwe by 2-0 and it didn’t took more than 50 minutes in the last day for Herath’s team to be ensured.
Zimbabwe were on 180 runs for the loss of 7 wickets after the fourth day and they needed to score 258 runs or pass the day anyhow to save the match. But the task was an impossible one and Zimbabwe lost.
Rangana Herath, stand in captain for the injured Angelo Mathews, finished the match with a figure of 13 for 152. It his seventh ten wickets haul in Tests.
He took 19 wickets in the series and with this he is the highest wicket taker captain in any 2 matches test series.
With this series win, Sri Lanka has won fifth successive Test. They won the series against Australia by 3-0 at home before this series.
