Boss has completed his 15 years in International Cricket

Mashrafe Mortaza has become the first ever cricketer of Bangladesh to complete 15 years as a national level cricketer in the country’s test status era.

Mashrafe is a name of inspiration in Bangladesh cricket and even after so many surgeries in his legs, he didn’t loose hopes. He came back from every injury like a boss.

In a recent interview to ESPNcricinfo, Mashrafe has talked about his career of 15 years and the future aspect of Bangladesh cricket team.

Limited version’s captain of Bangladesh, Mashrafe is confident that Bangladesh will be more successful in the next 15 years. He said, “I am sure that Bangladesh will achieve many things in the next 15 years.”

Mashrafe added, “We have to take care of the players, and by that I mean we have to create an environment for them. We have to keep them in the right process. The players also need to remain hungry.”

Mashrafe made his international debut against Zimbabwe in November 2001. From that time he has been the main bowler in Bangladesh attack.

Captain Fantastic said, “We will achieve things in 15 years that we cannot imagine now. But, for it to happen, we have to head in the right direction. It is not that we didn’t have talented players in the past, but they were wasted.”

The main pacer of Bangladesh cricket team has also emphasized on hard work which will lead them to the immense glory.

Mashrafe said, “There has to be hard work to make use of the talent. If we can do these things properly, we will get better.”

Mashrafe was given the captaincy of the ODI and T20 team in 2014 before the Zimbabwe series. After that, Bangladesh has been emerged as a successful ODI team and all the credits are for their super captain, Mashrafe.

Recently Bangladesh had a good test series against England. They won the historic 2nd match in Mirpur and went so close in Chittagong. For a not so good test side like Bangladesh, the result was extra ordinary.

Mashrafe thinks that the result in the Dhaka test will help Bangladesh in the future test series-es.

Captain fantastic said, “Our Test ranking will get much better in the coming years. We need to have specific targets since now we have also realized that we can win Tests in home conditions.”

Mortaza added, “We had done the same in ODIs, so I believe that the boys will do better. We will have a higher win percentage at home.”

Not only the performance he gave, but also Mashrafe’s presence in the team is very much important. Team mates feel confident only because of his presence in the team.

Hopefully, Mashrafe will play more with out any injury concern and that will be great for team Tigers.
