Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Mortaza has said that they will start playing against the Afghans like the way they left off. Talking to the media before the starting of the Afghan series, Mashrafe also pointed out the importance of this series.
Talking about Bangladesh’s long gap from international cricket Mashrafe said, “We will start the way we left-off. We will play the very best cricket that we’ve been playing since last year.
On the basis of a match sometimes you have to defensive while playing, but we want to play the way we always play; which is not defensive.”
Pointing out this series as a crucial one the tiger-captain stated Afghanistan is not team to be taken lightly.
“By far Afghanistan have done great in international cricket. They can be considered as a strong team, in the past they have upset some top teams. So we are not looking to this series as an warm-up sessions or practice for the England series. We will treat them just like the other teams. Our duty is to play the best cricket.”
