While BCB XI suffered a tragic loss against Afghanistan on Friday in a practice match; uncapped Mosaddek played a handsome innings of 76 runs from 97 balls. Many cricket-analysts criticizes the decision of taking Mosaddek in the team as he is too young to be a part of Bangladesh batting line-up; but Mosaddek proved himself in his very first exam.
Right before the main series, he showed what he is capable of. He proved a point stating that not only in the domestic cricket, he can shine in the international arena too. At the age of 20, Mosaddek has three double century in first-class cricket; he is also known as an aggressive batsman in the limited over cricket.
Scoring 1985 run in 18 first-class matches which includes 7 centuries and 6 half-centuries; Mosaddek does have a long way to go in the international cricket. Apart from his batting skill, he can be an effective off-spinner too. He showed his all-rounding performance in the domestic cricket and can’t wait to show it off in the international arena.
Playing 18 first-class and 39 list-A matches Mosaddek picked up 16 and 20 wickets respectively. He impressed his local coaches and also the chief selector Minhajul Abedin. Just after announcing the squad for Afghanistan series Mosaddek showed why he was selected.
