The former skipper of Bangladesh national cricket team Mohammad Ashraful is all set to return in cricket after a 3 years ban from domestic cricket. The youngest centurion of test cricket has recently talked about the upcoming England series which has been scheduled to held on October.
On Tuesday Ashraful has given an interview to the news media after his practice season at Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) academy field.
This former skipper of national side expressed that England series would be a big challenge for the tigers, because they have played international match long time back. Ashraful said,
‘This series couldn’t be a challenge for us if it would be held before 4-5 months back. Since we are not in the game for a long time and England are playing really well cricket, so in that case this series will be really hard for us’.
In the England series Bangladesh have to play without the young pacer Mustafizur Rahman. Due to a shoulder surgery he is currently now passing a rehab period. Mustafiz’s absence will make the series more difficult according to Ashraful.
He said, ‘In this series we will miss Mustafiz so much, If Mustafiz could play our task would become easier. However, I think our players have the enough confidence to do well. Because our players played well in the Dhaka Premiere League (DPL)’.
