After the incident with Quinton De Kock, David Warner seems to be falling deeper into the abyss as there are now allegations against him regarding ball tampering. The Australian vice-captain wears a lot of tape on his left hand, which apparently roughens up the ball.

Former Aussie bowler, Ryan Harris, however, believes that the allegations are just a means to push him against the wall as he is very close to getting suspended after the De Kock spat.

"I think their allegations are a little bit frivolous," Harris told Sports Sunday.

"I think they're obviously looking for something to pin on him, he's one step away from suspension as we heard after the last week.”

Harris defended his former team-mate by revealing that Warner always wore such strappings and that only some addition things on the top layer of the taping could prove him as a cheater.

"The times I played with Davey he had all that strapping on his fingers. Unless there's something rough, sand or glass or something on that taping, that's not going to do anything to the ball."
