BCB Chairman has always been supportive for Bangladesh cricket team. Whether or whenever the match is, Nazmul Hasan Papon is always there to support the tigers. After the historic win against England, everyone was looking for him in the presentation arena but he was not there. Nazmul Hasan Papon was not in Bangladesh in that time and he couldn’t imagine too that Bangladesh would win against England within 3 days. He landed in late night and he forgot all the tiredness and rushed to the hotel International to meet his victorious tigers. BCB chairman expressed his joy for the test win to the media but he wanted to see more wins. Nazmul Hasan Papon said, “Bangladesh can compete with any team from any level in any format now. We deserved this test win.” Before the series lots of confusions were going on. After the Gulshan attack, ECB hesitated to send their team to Bangladesh for this long series. But everything went fine and the security arrangements provided by the Bangladesh Govt. were extra ordinary. Nazmul Hasan Papon thanked Govt. for that. He said, “The security arrangements provided by our Govt. are nothing but excellent. All the forces were brilliant in handling the situations.” He added, “International media are saying about the excellent security system provided here. I don’t think no other team will hesitate to come to our land now.” Bangladesh went so close in every ODI and Test matches of the series. It could have been another white wash ODI and Test series win for the tigers. But Nazmul Hasan Papon is happy with the fight Bangladeshi players showed in this series and he thinks this will help them to win more big matches. BCB chairman lastly said, “It would have been great to see our team winning the series but we lost. It doesn’t matter players should be rewarded for their epic performances.”
