Dhaka Metro suffer innings defeat
Dhaka Division did not hesitate to bag the winning points for the second time in the ongoing National Cricket League when Dhaka Metropolis presented the opportunity before them with a cherry on top. Dhaka Division are now leading the points table in Tier 2 before the last round of the tournament.

Shuvagoto Hom’s century for the winnings side in the first innings earned him the Man of the Match award. Taibur Rahman, too, impressed with his all-round performance as he picked up a four-for in the second innings after belting a half-century during Dhaka Division’s batting innings.
Mohammad Ashraful, who top-scored for Dhaka Metro with a 14-run knock in the first innings, contributed 34 runs to the total in the second innings.
Opening batsman Shadman Islam was looking to steer Dhaka Metro out of danger but his 66-run knock in the second innings could do little to help the team that put up a disgraceful batting performance in this match.
The other Tier 2 clash between Sylhet Division and Chittagong Division was called off due to rain for the third consecutive day, that too, without a ball being bowled.
